It is easy to replace the old or inoperative choke found on many Domestic cars and trucks, and on some aftermarket Weber carburetors. Often the original style choke parts are no longer available, or the choke won't work due to engine problems or modifications. Electric choke conversion kits are fast and easy to install. DEFINITIONS
Electric Choke --- choke thermostat on carburetor is activated by 12-volt electrical current. Must be consistent 12-volts. We advise connecting the electric choke wires into a "key-on" power source in the fuse box.
Climatic Choke --- choke thermostat on carburetor is actuated by engine heat delivered through a tube from the manifold. Also called a "heat choke."
Manual Choke --- choke is operated by a cable, which is pulled from inside the cockpit. Also called a "hand choke."
Remote Choke --- Separate choke thermostat (a metal coil) is attached to the manifold, sometimes in a housing. It gets its heat from the engine, and it has a metal rod up to the carburetor which opens the choke butterflies when actuated. Also called a "divorced choke."
Water Choke --- Has water tubes running to and from the cooling system. Opens the carburetor's choke as the engine temperature rises and warms the coolant circulating through the choke mechanism.

Order out the parts you need or have us do the conversion for you. Electric chokes can be installed on carburetors with a climatic choke, a manual or a water choke as part of our rebuilding or repair process. For carburetors built with a remote choke, the electric choke kit must be installed directly onto the vehicle's intake manifold.
